MicroStrategy Roadshow in Full Swing

As you’ve seen from some of the last few posts, especially from our fearless road-warrior Hugh Owen, our MicroStrategy 9 Release 2 Roadshow kicked off this week in North America.  This week alone we will have had 12 events across the US and Canada, each one delivering the message that MicroStrategy is focused on the future of business intelligence.  I thought it would be interesting to look at a quick snapshot of some of the events that went on this week…

Our first events were Tuesday, in New York, Dallas, Seattle, and Cleveland.  Hundreds of people came out to these events to learn about the things that we are focused on, both in this new release, but also in our future releases.  The themes of each of the events include our focus on high-performance BI and now on the idea of Mobile Intelligence.  We believe that true Mobile Intelligence is the future of the industry, and that this has huge demands on the technology, specifically in the areas of scale and performance.

At each of the events, a number of customers also participated in a user group setting to share their success with MicroStrategy 9 and talk about their challenges and issues of implementation.  We had two insurers speak in New York and a community bank speak in Cleveland.  And we had an entertainment company and an agricultural products company speak in Seattle.  And not to be left out, we had 4 different customers speak in Dallas: a healthcare system, a retailer, an aeronautics parts manufacturer, and a financial services company…  Each of them told their stories of applications, implementations, dashboards, and challenges.  These are always the most interesting parts of our events…

In total, we will hit over 50 cities globally on this tour, and probably closer to 75 when it is completed by the end of April.  If you haven’t missed the one in your city yet, I’d recommend you get out to see it.  They are short events, packed with information, and best of all, they’re free!

More to come as the Events continue…
